Websphnere MQ Broker Developer Required - Fully Remote (Contract)
Location: Remote Working Country: UK Rate: Top Daily Rates Paid
 

My client currently requires an experienced MQ Broker Developer to join their existing team for an urgent contract role. Initially 6 months with a view to extension.

Duties:

  • An MQ and Broker developer with at least 6+ years' experience.
  • Experience in upgrading MQ from v5 up to the latest versions, 9.3 would be preferable.
  • Developer is also required to upgrade Broker from IIB v9 to ACE V12, be able to identify if any code changes are required ahead or, or as part of, the upgrade.
  • Support build and test phases for around 50 MQ message flows.
  • Support MQ Build activities as follows:
    1. Creation of new Bit Bucket repositories
    2. Rewriting of all MQ scripts as current scripts are based on Phased approach, all needs to be in standard MQ scripts (Auto Build & Deploy)
    3. Code promotion activities
    4. Test & Deployment Support activitiesPrep & Prod Release notes and support.
  • Support Broker Build activities as follows:
    1. Creation of new Bit Bucket repositories
    2. Upgrade broker IIB code to ACE12
    3. Code promotion activities
    4. Test & Deployment Support activities
    5. Prep & Prod Release notes and support
