Commercial Assistant (Contract)
Location: Leeds Country: UK Rate: £15 per hour, Benefits: PAYE, holiday pay

Summary Venesky Brown are looking for a Commercial Assistant to support our client who has been appointed to deliver all civil engineering works on the major Trans Pennine rail Upgrade project.
As a Commercial Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our procurement processes and overall commercial activities. This position involves reviewing requisition requests, processing orders, and providing crucial support in various commercial functions. Attention to detail and commitment to compliance will contribute significantly to the success of the project.
Key Responsibilities - Review requisition requests and ensure accurate and timely processing in SAP.
- Collaborate with relevant departments to clarify specifications and requirements.
- Utilize the relevant company portals to place orders for consumables and stationery, ensuring efficient procurement and stock management.
- Provide valuable support in raising subcontract orders within the SAP system, fostering collaboration with project teams and external partners.
- Issue clear and concise correspondence to relevant suppliers and subcontractors, maintaining open lines of communication and addressing queries promptly.
- Organize and collate delivery tickets for accurate record-keeping and streamlined logistics management.
- Ensure bought ledger invoice clearance within agreed payment terms, proactively raising queries with suppliers when discrepancies arise.
- Collate and input data into cost allocation systems, supporting effective cost control and financial management.
- Maintain an organized document filing system for easy retrieval, audit compliance, and efficient record-keeping.
- Provide general support in various commercial functions, demonstrating flexibility and a proactive approach to contributing to overall business objectives.
- Attend relevant meetings and training sessions to stay informed about company policies, industry trends, and continuously improve professional skills.
- Be adaptable to carry out other relevant duties as required from time to time, contributing to the dynamic nature of the role.
- Ensure strict compliance and adherence to project and company commercial procedures, following an agreed process for cost control.

- Experience with SAP and Excel
