Functional Lead (OTC) (Contract)

Functional Consultant/Lead (OTC) - Outside IR35 Contract - ASAP start

Our leading client is seeking a specialist Functional Lead to perform a vital role in providing a seamless relationship between Technology and Order to Cash functions. Acting as a trusted advisor and bringing to bear a combination of strong business acumen skills and technology expertise, they will work with Global Process Owners and our SI partner to help improve functional processes, and systems and solutions. Guards against 'siloed' behaviours, and proactively collaborates across functional teams to deliver a 'joined-up' solution.

Key responsibilities:

  • Interim custodians of the Product scope (Global template + localisations; BPML, Enhancements, Interfaces etc). Lead scoping decisions, assessing impact on business case.
  • Contribute to definition of RenU approach (method & tooling) for Fit-Gap & Build. Communicate and ensure approach is consistently followed.
  • Plan owner for Fit-Gap and Build across multi-supplier team. Create and maintain plan; WBS, with tasks, resource/effort, and dependencies.
  • Lead Product Teams; run stand-ups, day to day task and resource (+ supplier) management and ensuring adherence to plan, budget, and quality. Manage escalations.
  • Team capacity planning/management in conjunction with PMO.
  • Optimise productivity of internal and external resources being applied to deliver the plan.
  • Lead Status/KPI reporting + RAID management across OTC functional area.
  • Accountable for adoption and supportability of delivered OTC solution by the business.
  • Manage relationship with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Oversee, QA, and approve deliverables from Solution and Business teams, and provide overall solution leadership.

Key Skills:

  • Minimum 10 years industry experience with at least 7 years' experience in SAP design, build & test, having been involved in multiple full SAP S/4HANA life cycle implementations.
  • Deep experience in SAP OTC Solutions.
  • General SAP technical skills.
  • Specific SAP OTC process and configuration experience. Including:
    • Configuration: Experienced in all SD aspects, including defining & assigning Enterprise Structure, Master data, Sales Order processing.
    • Sales Documents: Sales Document Header, Sales Document Item, Sales Documents, Schedule Line, Contracts, and Scheduling Agreements
    • Pricing: Condition table, Condition type, Access sequence, Pricing procedure, and Condition record.
    • Order Management: Creation of Sales documents - Inquiry, Quotation, Sales order (standard order, rush order, cash sales, service order, returns), Deliveries (outbound & inbound), Billing, Invoicing, Credit memo, Debit memo; Configuration and implementation of SAP LE process, covering the complete range of functionalities like master data uploads.
  • Experience of SAP implementations and transformation programs.
  • Ability to understand a wide range of disciplines in enough detail to communicate effectively with experts in those areas to enable delivery of E2E solutions designs.
  • Ability to understand, explain and present technical ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences at all levels up to senior management in a persuasive and convincing manner.
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced international business and working with teams in different geographies.
  • Skilled in building strong external and internal strategic relationships.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
