Head of Finance - Part-time (Permanent)
Location: London Country: UK Rate: £55k - 65k per year
I am delighted to be recruiting on behalf of one of our key financial services clients for a Head of Finance on a part time basis (3 or 4 full days). You will be reporting directly to the CFO.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the finance team, fostering a culture of performance and engagement.
- Manage all financial reporting, ensuring compliance with UKGAAP (FRS 102).
- Oversee smooth annual audit processes.
- Set and monitor financial targets aligned with strategic plans.
- Develop budgets and provide insightful management information.
- Act as a business partner, evaluating departmental performance against budget.
- Present results to senior management and prepare quarterly board packs.
- Assist in financial decisions, forecasting, and risk management.
- Ensure a robust controls environment and implement operational best practices.
- Manage banking covenant, compliance, tax, and regulatory requirements.
- Provide ad hoc support to the CFO on various financial matters.
Skills and Experience:
- Qualified finance professional (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
- Solid understanding of UK Accounting Standards and Financial Reporting Standards.
- Experience in financial management, planning, and forecasting.
- Strong commercial experience, preferably in Financial Services or Technology.
- Advanced Excel skills and strong data manipulation capabilities.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
- Proven ability to manage high-performance teams and lead change.
- Experience in maintaining and utilizing accounting software (eg, Sage or Xero).
