Harvey Nash is currently recruiting for one of our clients in the Financial Services sector. They are seeking to hire a Senior Data Engineer to join their team in central London on a permanent basis.
As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and building data pipelines using a variety of on-premise and cloud technologies. Your primary objective will be to meet the business' data needs using structured and unstructured data solutions. Additionally, you will be required to design and deliver high-performance data solutions that are optimised for speed, scalability and availability.
The following skills and experience are required:
- Expert knowledge in manipulating and joining data in multiple different formats (CSV, JSON, XML, text)
- Expert knowledge of SQL
- Expert knowledge in designing data schemas
- Expert knowledge in either Python (with Spark and Pandas) or .NET (VB/C#)
- Strong experience with big data concepts
- Strong experience with the Atlassian suite
- Good knowledge of integrating external APIs for data acquisition
