Battery Pack/Electric Drive Unit Manufacturing Process Engineer (Contract/Permanent)

Location: Gaydon Country: UK Rate: GBP 40k per annum
 
  • 12 months Fixed term employment
  • Experience: 3 years - 10yrs.
  • Experience in Process Engineering
  • You will be working as a Process Engineer based in our Advanced Manufacturing Engineering team.
  • Would be responsible for the design, feasibility, and optimization of the Battery Pack/Electric Drive Unit manufacturing process to deliver based on customer needs.
  • Have experience on process development and layout design for Battery Pack/Electric Drive Unit, Electric Motor (Stator & Rotor assembly.
  • On Manufacturing feasibility assessments, aligned to engineering gateway releases, plus running change proposals.
  • Familiar with both production and prototype manufacturing environments including experience of fixture design/buy-off, joining technology (Spot Welding, Laser Welding, Fusion welding, studding, Nutting as examples) and Adhesive materials and compliance of Manufacturing BoP, preparing design documentations for reviews.
  • Compliance - control plan alignment, FMEA, process verification and seamless change management.
  • Tooling Design and Simulation review and buy-off.
  • knowledge on Virtual Build buyoff events.
  • Proficient in the use of Process Designer.
  • Experience on asset re-use, equipment utilization and line capacity and costing.
