Finance Director (Permanent)

Location: Milton Keynes Country: UK Rate: Up to £100k per annum + Benefits
 

Investigo are delighted to have been retained by a growing Milton Keynes based SME organisation who are looking to recruit a Finance Director, on a permanent basis.

The Finance Director is fully accountable for all financial transactions and accountancy matters, including audit systems, in accordance with UK statutory and regulatory requirements and Group guidelines.

The role is both strategic and hands-on operational defining and executing the business strategy as a member of the Executive Team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Managing Director and the Executive Team to formulate strategy, fiscal plans providing expert advice and guidance on strategic, financial and commercial matters in line with the Company objectives
  • Lead and manage the finance, credit control and IT departments: provide positive and professional leadership, delegate tasks, set priorities, hold 1-2-1s and other meetings in order to maintain or management performance and meet deadlines
  • Establish a high level of credibility and develop positive working relationships with all internal and external stakeholders
  • Manage all of the operational financial processes, eg monthly, quarterly, year-end closing, management reporting, profitability analysis ensuring that all reporting is done appropriately and in a timely manner
  • Management of the external financial service providers (eg tax, audit) and at the internal corporate financial service centre (eg treasury, general ledger accounting)
  • Analysis of the financial performance; development and controlling of measures to support growth and profitability
  • Work with and provide guidance to the GM of a UK subsidiary, to ensure all finance matters are managed appropriately
  • Understand the commercial model of the business and proactively develop strategic initiatives; reconcile strategies and initiatives on all management levels
  • Drive all internal processes for forecasting, budgeting and mid-term planning
  • Management and negotiation of commercial legal and contractual matters
  • Monitor and analyse market and competitor data; derive conclusions on company strategy and M&A activities; drive potential M&A activities in alignment with corporate functions
  • Management of 7 direct reports covering finance, credit control and IT
  • Management of IT; overall responsibility to ensure data is secure and IT equipment, licencing agreements and service contracts are appropriately managed
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, tax legislation and group organisational instructions

The successful Candidate will be a Professionally Qualified individual who possesses hands-on breadth to their experience from within an SME environment. They will be a real people person, who can effectively lead, develop and influence across all levels of an organisation, translating the numbers into straight forward English for non-finance teams. The Finance Director will possess an entrepreneurial spirit and the ability to challenge the status-quo. They will be someone who thrives on overcoming obstacles and driving the growth of a business, whilst also promoting a family feel to the working environment.

Our Client is offering a Salary of £100,000 + Car Allowance + Bonus + Benefits.
