Job Purpose

A pivotal position within the AI & Automation Team, collaborating with Architects and Developers and engaging with all business areas designing, developing, and deploying solutions using Microsoft's Power Platform to enhance business processes and user experiences. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Model Driven Apps, Canvas Apps, Cloud Flows, Desktop Flows, and demonstrate a keen proficiency in business analysis and stakeholder engagement.

Key Role Accountabilities

  • Design and Development: Craft and configure applications utilising Power Platform components such as Model Driven Apps, Canvas Apps, Cloud Flows, and Desktop Flows.
  • Solution Architecture and Business Analysis: Design architectures that integrate Power Platform solutions with existing systems to ensure seamless functionality across the organisation. Analyse business processes to determine optimal improvements using Power Platform technologies.
  • Automation and Improvement: Develop automation processes using Cloud Flows and Desktop Flows to streamline workflows and enhance productivity.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements, understand their needs, and develop functional specifications.
  • Demonstration and Feedback: Eagerly demonstrate and playback designs and proofs of concept to stakeholders, ensuring solutions meet business requirements and user expectations.
  • Troubleshooting and Support: Provide ongoing support and maintenance for Power Platform solutions, including troubleshooting and performance optimisation.
  • Training and Guidance: Assist in upskilling colleagues, providing training and guidance on best practices within the Power Platform.
  • Creative Solution Design and Requirements Elicitation: Possess the ability to design innovative solutions with minimal specific technical requirements. Excel in using creativity and technical knowledge to help stakeholders articulate their needs, transforming vague ideas into structured, practical applications. This involves proactive engagement to explore possibilities and define clear, actionable requirements that align with business objectives.

  • Quality of Development: Regularly deliver high-quality applications that meet predefined specifications and are free from significant bugs or issues. Quality assessments can be based on peer reviews, user feedback, and testing results.

  • Adoption Rates: Successfully drive the adoption of developed applications across the organisation. Measure the usage and dependency of the workforce on the solutions provided.
  • Improvement in Business Processes: Quantify the improvement in business processes through metrics such as increased efficiency, reduced costs, and time saved due to automation implemented using the Power Platform.
  • Effectiveness of Conceptualisation and Requirements Definition: Success can be measured by the ability to convert initial vague or broad stakeholder ideas into clearly defined project specifications and inventive solutions. Key indicators should include a decrease in revisions due to misunderstood or inadequately defined requirements, the number of projects progressing without substantial changes to the initial scope, and positive feedback from stakeholders on the clarity and creativity of the solution designs. Additionally, success can be assessed by how well the final product meets or surpasses the original business objectives identified by stakeholders.
  • Professional Development: Engage in continuous learning and improvement in relevant skills, including earning certifications or completing training in areas like Power Platform, Dynamics 365, or data analytics. Success can be evaluated through the achievement of these developmental milestones.
  • Demonstration and Feedback Implementation: Effectively demonstrate solutions to stakeholders and iteratively improve them based on their feedback. Measure success by the rate of positive feedback and the quick incorporation of stakeholder suggestions into projects.
