Project Engineer - Structured Cabling

We are currently seeking a talented Project Engineer with a proven background within the structured cabling industry to join our end client, on a long term contract in West London.

The successful candidate will oversee the planning, execution, and completion of structured cabling projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Location: West London, Heathrow
Rate: £260 to £300 per day inside IR35

Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of structured cabling projects from initiation to closure.
• Coordinate with clients, vendors, and internal teams to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
• Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets.
• Allocate resources, including personnel and equipment, to ensure project success.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and implement effective mitigation strategies.
• Conduct regular site visits to oversee installation activities and ensure compliance with project specifications.
• Track project expenses, manage change orders, and maintain accurate project documentation.
• Communicate project status updates and performance metrics to stakeholders.

• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of project management experience in the structured cabling industry.
• Strong technical knowledge of structured cabling systems, including copper and fiber optic cables.
• Proven track record of successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
• PMP or equivalent project management certification preferred.
• Valid drivers license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
