Service Desk Team Leader (Permanent)

Location: Newcastle upon Tyne Country: UK Rate: £32k - £36k per annum

The Role

As the direct report to the Service Desk Lead, this position demands a proactive, organized, and self-motivated individual. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, as the role involves interacting with business and internal IT stakeholders across all levels. Another important aspect of this role is performance management and the ability to maintain and improve employees' performance in line with the organisation's objectives.

The successful candidate will have experience of some of the following. The below list isn't exhaustive, it's more to provide an idea. If you're meeting a handful of the required points, we'd still encourage you to apply:

  • Experience within a similar role
  • Proven track record in team supervision, workload prioritization, and resource management.
  • Some exposure to ITIL Problem and Change disciplines.
  • Workload Management: Ability to handle personal and team workloads, including managing team rotas.
  • Performance Measurement: Proficient in measuring and monitoring team operational performance through agreed KPIs, providing management reports to the Service Desk Manager or Customer Services Manager.
  • Working knowledge of M365 and Azure

Hybrid working/2 days per week in office/Newcastle City Centre

You must be fully eligible to work in the UK and be able to travel into the office on occasion
