Platform Engineering Manager (Devops) (Permanent)
Location: Bath Country: UK Rate: £80k - £100k per annum + Benefits

Bath (at least 2x per month plus other office visit x1 per month)
Base salary to £100,000 + benefits (27 days holiday, 6% pension plus much more)
We are looking for an experienced software engineering manager/Squad lead who will take on the management and scaling of several tribes supporting devops, security and resilience. Please note that this is NOT a hands-on technical role.
You will be a strong team and people manager/leader with experience in supporting and leading multiple squads or tribes to develop and support quality software outcomes. Over the first 12 months in post your focus will be to scale your team, to be made up of several squads, and the secure and embed strong process and standards.
Whilst not being hands-on in your role, your experience, knowledge and understanding of the concepts of Devops will enable you to challenge and push-back on your teams. You must be willing and able to support and challenge your teams to find solutions to complex problems (with your support).
Key skills you will need to have:
- A proven background in managing and leading multiple software teams/squads/tribes.
- A strong understanding of Devops principles and concepts (AWS).
- Have amazing communication and problem-solving skills.
- Be TEAM focused and able to clearly evidence examples of how you have supported your teams to deliver.
