Senior Disaster Recovery Project Manager (Contract/Permanent)

Senior Disaster Recovery Project Manager

A Senior Project Manager with expertise in Disaster Recovery is required on a 24-month Fixed Term Contract to work remotely in the UK. There is a high chance that at the end of the 24 month period that there will be the option for this to become a permanent contract.

This is a complex, multi-sited, European environment where DR is required implemented. This is a fully remote working role however they may be the occasional requirement to visit European sites for which full expenses will be paid.

The successful candidate should have a excellent experience within Disaster Recovery (DR), someone that is able to set up a disaster recovery programme and also be hands on with analytics and research on how to implement DR successfully.

This project will look to identify our clients critical systems in a consistent manner and ensure that sufficient documented DR plans are in place and that you can carry out sufficient tests to increase the confidence level that in the event of disaster the affected systems can be recovered and to the agreed RTO/RPO SLAs.

The project will look to ensure that all identified critical systems will have the following:

- A comprehensive and valid DR plan in place (including detailed steps on recovery and testing)

- Annual tabletop exercises performed (team members discuss how they would respond to a disaster scenario and walk through the steps of the - disaster recovery plan)

- Annual simulation exercises (team members actually perform the steps of the disaster recovery plan)

Good experience of working in a structured methodology environment with strong PRINCE/MSP experience would also be required, as well as strong stakeholder management and written/verbal skills.

Salary: Circa £100,000 PA
