Location: Durham, County Durham, England Country: UK Rate: £800 - 900 per day
Data Architect - £800 to £900 per day - Inside IR35 - Primarily Remote - 6 month initial contract with extension.
My client, a major renewable energy company, specialising in wind power, solar power, and battery storage technology, is looking for a highly experienced Data Architect to join them on a contract basis.
The primary focus of the role is the Greenfield design, creation and management of my clients Data Architecture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide unparalleled technical expertise in the design and construction of our data capabilities, encompassing roles, responsibilities, workflows, and tooling.
- Define and enforce data standards, processes, and dictionaries to establish effective data controls and governance measures.
- Lead discovery efforts to comprehensively understand existing business data repositories and use cases.
- Develop comprehensive documentation illustrating key data entities and create inventories outlining data requirements for solution implementation.
- Craft an innovative data future state vision and roadmap for seamless delivery.
- Design, implement, and maintain complex data solutions that cater to the evolving needs of our organization.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable, reliable, and efficient data architectures.
- Develop and implement database solutions and models to effectively store and retrieve company data.
- Oversee data migration from Legacy systems to modern solutions, ensuring smooth transitions.
- Recommend and implement solutions to enhance both new and existing database systems.
- Provide training and individual support to colleagues to foster a deeper understanding of data principles.
- Offer technical leadership and guidance for data-centric projects, driving initiatives towards successful outcomes.
- Cultivate strong relationships with business teams and parent companies to foster a shared understanding of goals and challenges.
- Uphold the integrity and security of company data, implementing measures to safeguard against potential threats.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Data Architecture role.
- Proficiency in Snowflake, Power Apps, and Power BI.
- Strong background in database architecture and Datamodelling.
- Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into actionable data models and communicate their appropriate usage.
- Experience with data warehousing solutions and data lake architecture.
- Proven track record of collaborating with diverse stakeholders to develop solutions that meet varying business demands.
