Principal Accountabilities:
Cloud Infrastructure Design and Deployment:
- Lead the design and deployment of AWS-based infrastructure solutions, ensuring alignment with business requirements and best practices.
- Collaborate with architects and stakeholders to create scalable, secure, and highly available cloud architectures.
Red Hat Systems Administration:
- Manage and maintain Red Hat Linux systems, including installation, configuration, and ongoing administration.
- Implement and optimize Red Hat-based solutions for seamless integration with AWS services.
Automation and Configuration Management:
- Develop and implement automation scripts using tools such as Ansible for configuration management, ensuring consistent and efficient deployment of resources.
- Drive the adoption of Infrastructure as Code (IAC) principles with Terraform to enhance agility and repeatability.
Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams:
- Work closely with development, operations, and security teams to understand application requirements and provide effective cloud solutions.
- Participate in cross-functional collaboration to integrate cloud services into the overall IT landscape.
Security Compliance:
- Ensure cloud infrastructure and Red Hat systems adhere to security best practices and compliance requirements.
- Implement and monitor security measures to safeguard cloud-based resources.
Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution:
- Investigate and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure, networking, and Red Hat systems.
- Provide timely and effective troubleshooting support to maintain system reliability.
Continuous Learning and Certification:
- Stay current with AWS and Red Hat updates, emerging technologies, and industry best practices.
- Pursue and maintain relevant certifications to enhance personal and team expertise.
Documentation and Knowledge Sharing:
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for cloud and Red Hat configurations.
- Facilitate knowledge sharing within the team and contribute to the development of internal resources.
Project Leadership:
- Lead cloud-related projects, providing technical guidance and ensuring successful project delivery.
- Mentor and coach team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
Strategic Contributions:
- Contribute to the development of the overall cloud and Red Hat strategy.
- Provide insights and recommendations for continuous improvement in cloud engineering practices.
