AUTOMATION APPS QA Tester - CONTRACT - HYBRID

6 months contract - rolling

Hybrid - 2/3 days onsite

This role is for technical and analytical applicants to develop and maintain both manual and automated test cases, Working closely with the Test Manager, developers, IT Ops and project teams to test

. a new mobile application.
. an automated interface replacing mainly manual processes.

Therefore, a strong background in the testing of mobile applications, and front and Back End systems will be necessary.

Key Responsibilities

• Requirement Analysis and Test Case Design To create and maintain Manual and Automated Test cases based on requirements documentation, using tools such as Azure DevOps.
• Execution of both Manual and Automated Test cases.
• Review of any test cases written by other QA's, Developers, BA's, SME's or Test Manager.
• Create, triage, prioritise and track defects through to resolution and re-test with a focus on a risk-based approach.
• Ensure that pre and post-deployment checks are carried out to verify code release and environment configurations are correct and no regressions are introduced.
  
• Plan, Communicate and collaborate with Stakeholders and/or other departments Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain the impact of technical issues/defects to non-technical stakeholders.
• You will ensure that all parties are kept up to date by attending project meetings (Sprint ceremonies), updating tools, and providing supporting test documentation.
• You will be involved in both Agile and Waterfall models so your contribution towards sprint planning and the various ceremonies will play a key part in the role.
  
• Compliance and Security Working closely with the Test Manager and Infosec Security manager to ensure compliance with the required standards supporting improvement initiatives and protecting the business from risks arising from data loss.

Essential Skills

• Experience (technical, managerial, industry)
• Strong background in manual and automated testing and test principles.
• A solid understanding of test and defect management using tools such as Azure/JIRA.
• Proven experience of using IDEs (Visual Studio/Android Studio, Xcode) for creating and maintaining automation test suites in a dot .net framework using Selenium WebDriver, C# and SpecFlow using BDD.
• Experience of testing Restful APIs using products such as Postman/SoapUI.

Desirable

Understanding of JSON, HTML, and XML.

Understanding of Continuous integration, Continuous delivery, and the role of DevOps
