Programme Integration Architect (Contract)

Program Integration Architect Position Summary:

The recent integration needs for HMRC's Transformation Programs, predominantly focusses on connecting a SaaS-based HODs with HMRC corporate network, by following Industry standard Open Architecture patterns and in conformance with the HMRC Enterprise Integration standards.
This role of a Program Integration Architect' is being created to bring the Expert focus and Commitment on delivering Integration Solutions for HMRC's strategic Transformation Programs.
This strategic role, will be responsible for designing, prioritising, and delivering Integration solutions for a specific Program (eg, SCA, STW etc.) by coordinating with interfacing teams within & outside HMRC. This role will ensure that the integrations meet the business requirements for HMRC and delivered through on-the ground guiding and coaching of the engineering teams.

Responsibilities:

- Develop an integration blueprint for the specific program in alignment with HMRC's Enterprise Integration Strategy and Roadmap, thus ensuring that all integration related decisions are consistent, reusable and pattern-conformant across the Program.
- Be the Single point of Contact for the Engineering teams
- Ensuring ownership of timely decisions, actively collaborating with Chief Architect & Enterprise Integration Architects for solution design, and escalating at the right time seeking help.
- Collaborate with the Business Analyst to proactively (min. 12 weeks upfront) identify the Integration requirements for each of the tracks in terms of Existing API Reuse Vs. New APIs
- Collaborate with the Business Analyst to identify the attributes and the Master data of those attributes and define the Integration Scenarios & Patterns required for the program, from the HMRC Integration Enterprise Architecture repository.
- Collaborate with the implementation teams/suppliers guiding, coaching, and challenging them to produce the right solution, by being on the ground.
- Estimate the effort for each development and be in control by exercising governance and oversight during commercial discussions and implementation.
- Find opportunities to be innovative, propose modern solutions for integrations within the HMRC boundaries and engage in intelligent conversations with the CT&DO Integration Architects to make the Integration estate state-of-the art

Experience:

- Minimum 5 years of experience in implementing transformation programs including, SaaS based Integrations leveraging industry leading solutions like Pega DX, MuleSoft, TIBCO, etc.
- Hands-on experience and decision-making abilities - preferably worked for leading Private sector environment. Suitable Public Sector experience will also be considered.
- Large experience in operating in an Agile Environment with a good view of 2-speed architecture, where Integration sprints are delivered ahead of UX/UI sprints.
- A thought-leader with experience and views on modern solutions such as AI based integrations, end-end Observability solutions, DevSecOps, Full-life cycle APIM experience and the likes.
- Any publications, Blogs and thought sharing on Application Integration topics in LinkedIn or any other reputed journals will be an added advantage
