Senior Technical Writer

Are you looking for your next technical writing challenge? Are you familiar with DITA, Oxygen, XML, FrameMaker, or something similar? Do you enjoy the challenge of a documentation migration project? Are you interested in researching how best to work with generative AI across all types of documentation? This could well be your lucky day if you've said yes to all of those questions!

Our successful software client is looking for an experienced technical author to get involved in planning and implementing original and updated documentation such as user guides, online help and UI copy for new and enhanced products. Working with the team to suggest strategic and tactical improvements to their technical documentation and take the lead in a documentation migration project from FrameMaker to Oxygen XML.

What's needed?

  • Solid experience as a technical writer in a software environment.
  • Good experience of DITA, Oxygen XML, FrameMaker or a similar contemporary documentation tool.
  • The ability to write a range of documentation for different audiences of varying technical ability.
  • A tenacious and adaptable personality.
  • Enthusiasm and a positive, can-do attitude.

On offer is a competitive salary of up to £55K p.a. and a full benefits package. This is a hybrid role where you will be required to work in our client's West Sussex office at least once a week, with the rest from home. This is flexible and can be worked as a minimum of 20% of the month onsite.
