This public sector client is undertaking a long-term critical technology programme centre on road charging and payments and requires a contract Senior Back End Developer with expert knowledge of designing, building, and enhancing integrated Back Office solutions (Payment processing systems, including card payment workflows, authorization, and settlement processes) and using Microsoft Development Technologies, including C#, .NET and Azure technologies. This is a 24- month assignment. Circa £450 Inside IR35. Hybrid working (4 days every fortnight in Central London). Valid right to work in the UK required. Forming part of the Payments and Auto Pay Team, this is a great opportunity to have a major impact on a public facing programme, and as a Senior Back End Developer you will be responsible for the design, development, implementation and early life support of the Team deliverables.

Essential Skills:
. Expert agile practices with proven experience
. Expert in industry standard development methodologies and tools
. Expert in the following Technical Skills
o C# .Net, C# .NET Core
o TDD, Object Oriented Design, Clean Code Techniques
o Git version control
. Expert knowledge in Azure technologies (including but not limited to):
o API Manager, Active Directory
o Functions, Service Bus
o SQL Server, CosmosDB, Storage
o Azure DevOps
o App Insights
o Azure DevOps including Pipelines and Bicep

. Demonstrable experience of
o Working on high-volume Back Office transactional systems
o Payment processing systems, including card payment workflows, authorization, and settlement processes
o Working with Direct Debit mechanisms and recurring payments
