Migration Consultant (Contract)

You will be working 3-4 days per week in this contract.

Salt Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a Consultancy that is seeking a skilled Migration Consultant to join their team and support a prominent Local Government body in their data migration initiatives.

You will play a pivotal role in migrating data from Legacy systems, particularly from Accolade to IDCOS, and ensuring seamless integration into new environments. Additionally, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to build and maintain test environments in Azure and provide hands-on assistance throughout the migration process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the migration of data from Accolade to Idocs, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Develop and execute migration strategies, including planning, analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment phases.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Build and maintain test environments in Azure to support migration testing and validation activities.
  • Assist in data extraction, transformation, and loading processes, including manual data transfer to MS Databox for extraction.
  • Monitor migration progress, troubleshoot issues, and provide timely resolution to ensure project milestones are met.
  • Document migration processes, procedures, and best practices to facilitate knowledge transfer and support ongoing operations.
  • Provide training and support to end-users and stakeholders as needed.

Experience with migrating data from Accolade to Idocs is essential and will need to be evident on your CV. A strong understanding of Azure cloud technologies, particularly in building and managing test environments is also required.
