Senior Data Engineer - Azure, Databricks, Pyspark

Contract - 6 months +

Hybrid remote - London

£525-£625 per day

Do you have strong data engineering experience with Databricks? Are you ready to work with Big Data in the energy industry?

Sentinel are working with an Energy client who are looking for strong Azure Data Engineers to join their team and build new data pipelines on their new Analytics platform. This is an exciting time to join the company as their data sources grow and they harness modern technology for Data & Analytics. This role would suit a Senior Data Engineer with strong Databricks and Pyspark skills and a background in Azure Data Engineering.

Skills & Experience:

We are looking for someone that has a strong mix of the following skills and experience:

• Strong experience utilising the Microsoft Azure stack for data engineering ie Azure Functions
• Core skills in coding with SQL, Python and Spark
• Proven experience using Databricks ie lakehouse, delta live tables, Pyspark etc

Responsibilities:

As the Data Engineer you'll be responsible for:

• Preparing the data platform for new pipelines
• Building complex data pipelines for large data sets
• Supporting and collaborating with other teams
