Finance Business Partner (Contract)

The role:

In your role as the Finance Business Analyst, your primary responsibility will involve overseeing the successful delivery of a substantial program of work. This position necessitates serving as the vital link between operations, finance, and IT departments.

Responsibilities:

Support the Operational Efficiency change programme and lead for Finance, the development of an improved solution to better capture, analyse & address Fault incident costs (c.£80m p.a.), and understand the financial and wider business implications of any proposed solution.

Work closely with key stakeholders to understand existing process, input towards the development of the required solution including:

Mapping/documentation of "to be" process, identifying risk areas and propose mitigation & necessarily control points

Gather business requirements and validate/assure against the "to be" solution

Impact assessment of "to be" solution on downstream areas ie Finance

Test and validate solution (particularly for finance) to ensure this meets desired outcomes

Collaborate with IT and other key stakeholders to develop requirements and ensure solutions are delivered to achieve business needs

Communicate effectively with stakeholders to keep them informed of progress and address any issues that may arise

Deliver reporting requirements to the Faults Response team

Aid senior business stakeholders in shaping wider reporting and analysis for Field Operations

Requirements:

Good understanding of finance processes & systems

Nice to have: Financial Modelling experience.

Strong communication

Advanced Excel skills

Impact assessment/process improvement

Proactive approach/self-starter

Problem solving

Project management experience
