Software Development Project Manager (Contract)

Location: Huntingdon Country: UK Rate: £45 - £50.00 per hour + Inside IR35
 

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong focus on software development to join our client, who is an industry leading company in the manufacturing industry, specifically in the production of industrial engines. To be considered you will need 3-5 years of proven experience and you will already possess expertise in Waterfall methodology, IT Project Management, and IT Implementation Methodology.

This role will be based at the client's office in the Cambridgeshire area, requiring a minimum presence of 3 days per week. This is non-negotiable.

Job Description

  • Prepare & baseline project plans based on scope, budget & timeframes.
  • On larger projects be a meeting facilitator to ensure outcomes are achieved and actions documented.
  • Manage project team resources to ensure project is delivered as per agreed plan.
  • Manage projects using the appropriate methodology the business needs.
  • Facilitate regular cadence meetings with the project team and business to ensure management of tasks and escalation of issues.
  • Manage project delivery issues and stakeholder interactions.
  • Communicate and escalate issues in a prompt and timely manner.
  • Lead issue resolution and prioritization related discussions with relevant stakeholders.Plan for resource forecasting, onboarding, sort out any impediments, review risks and plan for mitigation actions.
