Network Design Engineer/Network Designer (Permanent)
Location: Basingstoke Country: UK
 

We are seeking a Network Design Engineer/Network Designer to join our Global IT Services Company in a permanent position. The role will be based in Basingstoke, Hampshire, UK (5 days on-site).

Responsibilities & Skills:

  • Network design (HLD & LLD)
  • Network solution prototyping
  • Configuring network devices
  • Previous experience with Juniper SRX or Fortinet FortiGate
  • Previous experience Cisco routing and switching devices
  • Demonstrable understanding of OSPF, EIGRP and BGP routing protocols.
  • Demonstrable understanding of NAT, GRE Tunnelling protocol, DMVPN Tunnelling Protocol, Subnetting & Supernetting.
  • Previous troubleshooting and support experience.
  • Network implementation in an offline environment
  • The successful applicant will be a Network Design Engineer/Network Designer, joining the existing Network Solution Build team.
  • The successful Network Design Engineer/Network Designer will work closely with the Solution Owner and Architects to assist with the instantiating of design documentation, on a wide variety of network solutions, varying in size and complexity.

A national security clearance is required for this role so candidates must either hold this level of clearance or be willing to achieve this.
