Site Reliability Engineer (Permanent)

Location: Southampton, Hampshire Country: UK Rate: £70k - £75k per annum + Pension, Health Insurance, etc
 

We are working alongside a long standing client in the Hampshire area to recruit an accomplished SRE Engineer who has experience with Azure DevOps practices to join an award-winning global technology and SaaS company.

The R&D teams develop leading edge solutions for the criminal justice sectors in the UK & US. Leveraging modern technology and innovation, they are leading the field and expanding fast. As a result of rapid growth, the company is looking to automate, support and maintain applications 24/7 and are hiring for an experienced SRE Engineer.
The team is responsible for reducing the number of issues and speeding up the time to detection/resolution of issues using automation, tooling, telemetry, and data.

This is a very hands-on role. You will be involved in ensuring cloud platforms are observable, measurable, reliable, scalable, and maintainable. You will have significant experience in a DevOps, SRE, Cloud Engineer, or Cloud Development role and expertise with Azure DevOps tooling.

Key Technical Experience

  • Significant experience with Azure PAAS, SAAS and IAAS services.
  • Experience of build, deployment, and release activities.
  • Experience with infrastructure/configuration as code (BICEP, ARM).
  • Experience with version control (Azure DevOps GIT).
  • Exposure to Azure DevOps pipelines is essential.
  • Production experience with Kubernetes and containerization.
  • Experience and in-depth knowledge of databases and data handling (MS-SQL, Elasticsearch, YML, JSON, XML).
  • Demonstrable experience of supporting live cloud services and platforms.
  • Significant experience in a DevOps, SRE, Cloud Engineer, or Cloud Development role
