DevOps Engineer (AWS) (Contract/Permanent)

One of our longest standing and largest clients are seeking a highly skilled and motivated DevOps Engineer with AWS experience to join their dynamic team. As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining their cloud infrastructure and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, deploy, and manage scalable and secure cloud infrastructure on AWS.
  • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for efficient software delivery.
  • Collaborate with development teams to automate and streamline development and deployment processes.
  • Monitor and optimize system performance, reliability, and availability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and deployment issues.
  • Implement and enforce security best practices to protect data and systems.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of infrastructure and applications.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve our infrastructure and processes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer with hands-on experience in designing, deploying, and managing cloud infrastructure on AWS.
  • Strong knowledge of AWS services, including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudFormation, and IAM.
  • Proficiency in Scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and container orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with configuration management tools like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
  • Solid understanding of CI/CD principles and experience with tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or AWS CodePipeline.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • AWS certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or AWS Certified Solutions Architect.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform.
  • Knowledge of networking concepts and experience with VPC, Route 53, and ELB.
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as CloudWatch, ELK Stack, or Prometheus.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and experience working in agile development teams.

You will be expected to work from the Clients or Synechron's office 3 days a week.
