Business Development Manager (IT Services for Government & Healthcare Clients)

Location: Hybrid - London & South

Duration: Permanent

Salary: Up to £70,000 per annum, with double OTE

Our client is looking for someone who has experience selling IT Services into Central Government or Healthcare clients.

Digital Skills is thrilled to collaborate with a leading IT Consultancy in the search for a dynamic Business Development Manager. This role is dedicated to supporting the company's Government teams and requires an experienced professional with a proven track record in successfully selling diverse IT solutions. The ideal candidate will contribute to new business development within Central Government or Public Sector Healthcare.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Relationship Building: Establish strategic and tactical relationships with Government and Healthcare clients to foster collaboration and growth opportunities.
  • Business Development: Proactively pursue continuous business development with new potential clients within the framework agreement.
  • Product and Service Communication: Ensure Government clients are well-informed by providing accurate and comprehensive information about the company's products and services.
  • Market Research: Conduct regular market research to stay informed about developments that impact Government clients, enabling strategic decision-making.
  • Product Knowledge: Build and maintain a strong technical and commercial understanding of key product propositions particularly: WAN (VPLS, Point to Point), Hosting and Cloud, Managed IT services; Hosted Voice and Unified Communications

Desirable Experience:

  • IT Services Sales: Previous experience in successfully selling IT services, preferably within Central Government and Healthcare.
  • Effective Communication: A clear and concise communicator with a demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Industry Relevance: Experience selling complex Managed Services such as Cloud, Infrastructure, Data Centre, Networking, Unified Communications services
  • Business Development: Experience and drive to secure new business from clients.
  • Revenue & Sales: Previous experience selling multi-million pound IT Services into the Public Sector.
