Seeking an individual with a strong background in Product Management to join a technology team in London

My client are building a new Product Management capability and this is an exciting opportunity for an individual to be there at the start.

The successful candidate will be responsible for achieving outcomes by defining a technology enabled product and overseeing its ongoing development and performance, maximise the value of investment and help build agility.

  • Define, own and track ambitious but realistic long-term and short-term objectives for the product.
  • Create and maintain a product roadmap that outlines the product's development priorities and sequencing.
  • Own, prioritise and manage the product, including creating and owning a product backlog, providing direction to a cross-functional team to ensure the vision and needs are understood, and actively participating in agile delivery processes.
  • Ensure product visions, roadmaps and priorities within their agile release train align with each other and are complementary.
  • Manage Product Owners within the agile release train.
  • Continually and fairly balance the product demand, understanding the technical needs and opportunities in parallel with the requirements from multiple business areas.
  • Effectively manage, engage and work collaboratively with a range of technical and non-technical stakeholders, to understand successful outcomes and ensure stakeholders are aligned behind the product's goals and kept up to date with progress.
  • Ensure alignment with all enterprise technology standards, eg on security, architecture, and regulatory compliance.
  • Drive and employ experimentation and testing techniques to unlock value early and explore opportunities.
  • Use insight, data and user research to identify opportunities to continually improve the product.
  • Support the delivery and change management of the product, working with colleagues to ensure releases are tested, communicated and adopted by users.
