Application Security Consultant - Remediation - ISO 27001/2

Based in Canary Wharf an Application Security Consultant is required to work on a 6-month contract in the banking sector. Hybrid role - 2 days in the office and the rest remote.

This is an excellent opportunity to work with a unique client who is undertaking numerous IT system migration projects and investing in various security initiatives which could lead to an opportunity for a long-term contract with multiple extensions

Please note that you can work via your own LTD Company.

This role is paying up to £540 per day.

Keys Skills

  • Proven track record in conducting security assessments, identifying threats, and implementing effective mitigation and remediation strategies within the FS sector.
  • Extensive understanding and application of IT security policies, guidelines, and standards, including ISO 27001/2 awareness.
  • Honours degree level qualification and/or recognised IT Security accreditation, demonstrating a strong academic and practical foundation.
  • Broad understanding of corporate IT infrastructures and technologies, contributing to a holistic approach to security solutions.
  • Demonstrable expertise in modern security solutions, with deep technical knowledge in areas such as data encryption, leakage controls, and identity and access management.
  • An ethical hacking background is advantageous.
