As a Senior Pension Technician, you will:
  • Be at the forefront of managing complex data, ensuring the precision and integrity of calculations that underpin the financial security of countless individuals.

  • Your role is pivotal in building, maintaining, and enhancing customer relationships, representing the department in crucial meetings with both internal and external project stakeholders.

  • The successful candidate will possess a deep understanding of Defined Benefit (DB) pensions and pension administration. A vast background in Excel is essential, as the ability to perform VLOOKUPs and produce pivot tables will be a daily requirement.

  • Your expertise will enable you to interpret complex data with ease, ensuring the accuracy and quality of data projects.

  • Collaboration is key; you will work alongside fellow pensions teams to deliver project requirements within Key Performance Indicators. These include time scales, deliverables, quality, and sign-off, guiding the planning process to meet and exceed expectations.

To excel in this role, you should demonstrate:
  • Proficiency in DB pension schemes and pension administration.

  • Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables.

  • The ability to interpret and manage complex data sets.

  • Experience in checking calculations for accuracy and compliance.

  • Strong communication skills to foster and maintain professional relationships.

  • A proactive approach to guiding project planning and delivery within set KPIs.
