Senior DevOps Engineer (Permanent)
Location: Bristol Country: UK Rate: £70k - £90k per annum
 

Senior DevOps Engineer - Tech for Good - GCP, AWS Kubernetes, Terraform

Oliver Bernard are currently working with a Bristol based Tech for Good SME who are looking to take on a Senior DevOps Engineer as their first Senior/Platform hire for a new and Embedded team.

As the primary DevOps Engineer, the incoming profile will be key in building and scaling their platform, whilst advocating for DevOps best practices and instilling a strong DevOps/Platform driven culture across the broader tech team.

This opening presents a great opportunity for someone with experience at Senior or Lead level that wants to own a function, and has experience scaling a platform whilst working closely with stakeholders to embed DevOps processes.

To be a suitable candidate for this position, the following experience is required:

  • Strong history of working with GCP and AWS
  • Container experience with Docker and Kubernetes
  • History of utilising Terraform for IaC
  • Knowledge on Monitoring/Observability processes (with tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, DataDog etc)
  • Able to be Autonomous and operate as a sole engineer within a team
  • Knowledge of Data and Security is also a big bonus

This position can offer £70-90K for the right profile, and operates a hybrid model (1-2 days p/week).
