O365/SharePoint Engineer (Contract)

Location: Peterborough Country: UK Rate: £400 - £425 per day
 

O365/SharePoint Enterprise Engineer

12 month initial contract, inside IR35. 50/50 hybrid working model in Peterborough office and remote.

Role Purpose:

  • To design and develop solutions to meet business requirements using Enterprise systems, such as Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Power Platform, Atlassian, Salesforce and Workday.
  • To ensure that agreed standards, procedures and controls are adhered to.
  • To estimate effort required for own tasks and understand how this contributes to team output.
  • To investigate, analyse and resolve operational problems to support the business customers.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop solutions using highly available enterprise platforms, ensuring that all features are tested as appropriate for quality and performance.
  • The design and development of pages, forms, web parts and workflow to aid business processes built into the enterprise-wide SharePoint platform.
  • Active learner, with a passion for keeping up to date with emerging technologies, and able to pick up new concepts fast.
  • Provide operational support to business customers within service level agreements.
  • Contribute to improvement within the technical estate.
  • Proactively look at ways to improve development processes, software and systems.
  • Effectively communicate with the team and business customers to ensure that the enterprise systems are effective for the business.
  • Ensure that standards/processes are followed and write relevant documentation to support the enterprise platforms.
  • Ensure that tasks are completed to a high standard and according to agreed timescales.

Skills Experience and Knowledge (Must Have):

  • Development experience with:
    • SharePoint
    • Power Platform
    • SPFx/React.js
    • PowerShell
  • Experience of supporting non-technical users and interpreting their requirements into functional specifications.

Skills Experience and Knowledge (Preferred):

  • Some knowledge of Atlassian products, such as Jira and Confluence.
  • Some knowledge of Salesforce.
  • Some knowledge of Workday.
  • Experience with Sharegate.
