Software Engineer - Java & Javascript - £35,000 - £45,000 depending on experience - Cheltenham

Due to the recent expansion of their product, the hugely experienced south west based cloud engineering team are looking to add an additional developer with a Java background to their team.

This is a role where you do not need security clearance.

Day to day you will be involved in:

• Deploying applications to the cloud on AWS
• Migrating over the Java Back End using highly scalable technologies
• Writing testing material to ensure that the code you are delivering each day is fully transparent and clean helping them with their TDD process.
• Helping the team identify areas where infrastructure can be bettered for code practice.
• Applying your knowledge of security to ensure smooth transitions to the customer facing team.

What you need to succeed:

• A minimum of 3 years of experience using modern Java frameworks
• Great knowledge of the Spring Framework (Springboot)
• Potential good knowledge of Javascript or other JS Frameworks
• It's a bonus if you have experience with AWS or other cloud frameworks

The team is a highly collaborative environment, where you can hit the ground running and learn a lot. Due to the nature of the work and the Cheltenham base, you must be based in the UK without Visa requirements and have a track history of working with UK based businesses.
