.Net Developer - SC Cleared (Contract)
Location: Leatherhead, Surrey Country: UK Rate: £600 - £625 per day
 

.Net Developer - SC Cleared - Leatherhead - £625 a day

You will join a leading IT Consultancy who are delivering digital transformation to a government agency. As a member of one of several small (2-3) member workstreams you will be responsible for upgrading, and automating the install, for multiple applications for deployment across multiple environments.

Clearance:

Do to the nature of the end client you will need to hold SC Clearance and be a sole UK national

Location:

Hybrid role with attendance on site in Leatherhead 2 - 3 days a week

The role:

  • The existing custom developed .NET applications will be uplifted to a more recent version of Visual Studio and rebuilt to use the latest supported versions of libraries and other supporting code. These applications will be tested against the newer Operating Systems and if necessary, adjustments applied.
  • The goal is to move to an automated deployment approach and will require each application to be automated in its installation via the use of configurable PowerShell DSC/Ansible. This approach will be used to deploy the various applications through multiple environments.

Your technical skills:

  • C#
  • ASP
  • .Net
  • PowerShell or similar Scripting
  • Good problem solving skills
  • Git or similar source control tool.
  • PowerShell DSC or similar desired state Scripting
  • Use of CI tools, such as Jenkins
  • Experience of Ansible - 2
