Intune Application Packaging Specialist - Contract - Outside IR35 (Contract)

Location: London Country: UK Rate: £300 per day
 

My Client is looking for an Intune Application Packaging Specialist who will be responsible for designing, testing, and deploying software packages using Microsoft Intune. My client is moving to Windows 11 and wants to make sure all the applications will be adaptable to this change.

Key Responsibilities of the Intune Application Packaging Specialist

  • Collaborate with software vendors and internal stakeholders to gather requirements for application packaging and deployment.
  • Package and customize software applications for deployment using Microsoft Intune, ensuring compatibility, reliability, and optimal performance.
  • Perform quality assurance testing on packaged applications to identify and resolve any issues or conflicts.
  • Create and maintain documentation related to application packaging processes, including installation instructions, troubleshooting guides, and release notes.
  • Develop scripts and automation tools to streamline the application packaging and deployment process.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends in application packaging, Intune deployment, and related technologies.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end-users and IT teams for packaged applications deployed via Intune.
  • Collaborate with the IT security team to ensure compliance with security policies and standards during the application packaging process.
  • Participate in project planning and coordination activities, ensuring timely delivery of packaged applications according to project deadlines.

Qualifications of the Intune Application Packaging Specialist

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in application packaging and deployment, preferably with a focus on Microsoft Intune.
  • Experience Managing the packaging process E2E, from Discovery of applications to packaging of the apps.
  • Strong proficiency in creating MSI packages using tools such as Advanced Installer, InstallShield, or equivalent.
  • In-depth knowledge of Windows operating systems, registry settings, file system structures, and Group Policy Objects (GPOs).
  • Experience with Scripting languages such as PowerShell for automation and customization tasks.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Intune) for application deployment and device management.
