Our central gov client is seeking an interim Programme Planner, to join a flagship portfolio of Programmes

PREVIOUS CENTRAL GOV. PROGRAMME MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE IS ESSENTIAL

Join the team as an Interim PMO Programme Planner and play a crucial role in supporting the effective planning and delivery of strategic programs and projects during a transitional period. This interim position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute your expertise in programme planning and project management within a dynamic government environment. You will collaborate closely with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of key initiatives while the organization undergoes change.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Programme Planning: Develop and maintain comprehensive programme plans, including schedules, milestones, and dependencies, to support the successful delivery of key projects during the interim period.

  2. Resource Management: Coordinate with project managers and stakeholders to identify resource requirements, allocate resources effectively, and ensure optimal utilization of resources across programmes.

  3. Risk and Issue Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks and issues that may arise during the interim period. Develop contingency plans and escalate critical issues to senior management as necessary.

  4. Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor programme progress against planned objectives and KPIs. Prepare regular status reports, dashboards, and presentations for stakeholders and senior leadership.

  5. Quality Assurance: Ensure that programme deliverables meet quality standards and comply with relevant regulations and policies. Conduct periodic reviews and audits to identify areas for improvement.

  6. Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather requirements, provide updates on programme status, and address concerns or feedback in a timely manner.

  7. Change Management: Support change management activities by facilitating communication, training, and stakeholder engagement to ensure smooth implementation of programme initiatives during the interim period.

  8. Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities to streamline processes, enhance efficiency, and optimize the delivery of programmes. Implement best practices and lessons learned to drive continuous improvement during the interim period.
