Platform Engineer - 6 Month Contract - Inside IR35 - Hybrid Working

Hamilton Barnes is pleased to announce an exciting opportunity to join a prominent UK Supermarket as a Platform Engineer. As part of a dynamic team, you will be instrumental in enhancing the optimization, automation, and efficiency of their cloud infrastructure.

This role offers a 6-month contract with the possibility of extension, providing you with the chance to make significant contributions to a market-leading client's cloud infrastructure. Located in a London office, you will have the flexibility of a hybrid working arrangement.

What you will Ideally Bring:

  • Demonstrated proficiency in Azure, coupled with a profound understanding of maintaining and automating Enterprise-level platforms.
  • Strong technical prowess in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and GitHub, along with proficiency in programming languages such as Python.
  • Extensive experience in implementing DevOps principles and CI/CD practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with Azureengineers, architects, and stakeholders to effectively manage and automate Enterprise Scale platform and Landing zones, ensuring alignment with overall strategy.
  • Provide leadership and support to junior engineers, fostering a culture of best practices in Azure administration, development, and DevOps methodologies.
  • Utilize automation tools like Terraform and Python to streamline processes, automate tasks, and develop robust testing procedures for infrastructure using tools like Terratest.

Contract Details:

  • Duration: 6 months (View to Extension)
  • Day Rate: Up to £550 Per Day (Inside IR35)
  • Location: Hybrid - London/2-3 days a week
  • Start Date: March 2024
