Senior Business Analyst (Contract/Permanent)

Location: London Country: UK Rate: Up to £59850 per annum + 8% Cash Benefits, Bonus, Benefits
 

The Bank of England and Inspire People are partnering together to attract high-calibre Business Analysts with a solid track record of delivering technology change across a mix of business and technology transformation projects, to play a pivotal role in an organisation at front row for the digitalisation of the financial sector and the UK economy. You will be responsible for the end-to-end life cycle from feasibility to business change.

Up to £59,850 basic plus excellent benefits including a 8% cash benefits allowance and an annual bonus. Hybrid working opportunities are available with 2 days a week working from the Bank's London site. 21 Months Fixed Term Contract.

As a Business Analyst within the Bank, typical role responsibilities include:

  • Requirements gathering and process engineering analysis to provide detailed analysis to ensure appropriate solutions are identified and designed to deliver the right business outcomes.
  • Applying a strong working understanding of BPMN 2.0
  • Producing outputs at different levels (high level to functional specifications) to a high quality within the standards set by the BA management team
  • Providing both functional and technical expertise to the Technology teams in producing detailed requirements documentation (eg, detailed process maps, use case specifications, wireframes, logical data models), facilitating workshops with the business utilising a variety of business analysis methods.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Solid career track record as a business analyst in Agile and Waterfall environments, with strong exposure to technical/software development projects, working on complex projects and programmes involving broad-based business change.
  • Experience of developing business processes using BPMN 2.0 and use of 'out of the box' thinking to challenge existing processes.
  • Strong exposure to gathering, analysing and accurately documenting business and solution requirements using business process models, wireframes, use cases and data models

As well as the above core skills, we are looking to engage with candidates to work on one of five different Bank initiatives, depending on your following additional skills:

  1. Security and Collateral Operations Review - Knowledge of finance processes especially settlement and collateral management plus strong process mapping skills using BPMN 2.0
  2. Critical Operational Risk Mitigation - Knowledge of finance/trading across Front, Middle and Back offices processes plus strong process mapping skills using BPMN 2.0
  3. Finance Modernisation - Exposure to the Oracle ERP Finance modules and an understanding of systems/data mappings and migrations
  4. Transforming Data Collections - Experience withTarget Operating Model Development, data life cycle management and CRM Tooling
  5. Obsolescence - Technology upgrade/decommissioning experience and data-centre migration experience
