Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with senior colleagues across the business to develop critical data maps, understanding essential business processes and the underlying data.
  • Document key data elements using Excel-based data catalogues and dictionaries, transitioning towards strategic tools.
  • Utilize SQL Server to construct data quality metrics, assessing completeness, validity, consistency, and timeliness, with visualizations in Power BI.
  • Engage with business stakeholders to identify low-scoring data elements, facilitating remediation efforts and coordinating fixes as necessary.
  • Address specific data issues by liaising with business units and coordinating solutions with the Technology and Transformation teams.
  • Demonstrate proactive stakeholder management skills, particularly at upper management levels, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

Key Skills Required:

  • Proficiency in SQL Server, with demonstrated expertise in SQL query writing.
  • Strong command of Power BI for data visualization and analysis.
  • Extensive experience and understanding of data management principles, particularly DAMA (Data Management Association).
  • Exceptional stakeholder management abilities, with a proven track record of effectively engaging with upper echelons of management, including board and management team levels.
