The Role:

We are in search of a Platform Engineer specifically with experience using Tanzu Application Service.

The Platform Engineer will be typically be involved in the following:

• Work to improve the deployment and operations processes related to container orchestration platforms (Kubernetes and Tanzu Application Service).
• Play an integral role in ensuring our platforms are secure, resilient, and reliable, helping to reduce the toil required by this activity.
• Develop automation, providing support to platform users, building the skills of other team members, responding to incidents and performing platform operations in general.

The Platform Engineer must possess the following skills and experience:

• Knowledge of container orchestration platforms (Tanzu Application Service).
• Knowledge of Kubernetes is desirable.
• Experience automating platform operations including deployment, upgrading, provisioning (onboarding)
• Software engineering expertise including strong proficiency in Python, Go or other languages.
• Consulting experience related to helping others gains platform engineering and software engineering skills.
• Incident response skills including platform and application problem diagnosis and resolution.
• Experience with Terraform
• Experience with monitoring systems such as Datadog, Splunk and Log Insight.
• Candidates must be willing and able to participate in an on-call rota.
