Role
The Desktop Support Engineer will work with other support teams to resolve end user technical issues for both computer and software applications, through to resolution, fulfil service requests, assist with hardware installations, software upgrades, system integrations and basic IT issues, and place emphasis on issue prevention rather than resolution. The ideal candidates will have recently been involved with early life and daily support of Office 365 and will understand how to build strong customer relationships based on trust and technical respect. A top-class Desktop Support Technician who provides fast and effective support for clients working as part of a global onsite client facing support team.
- Responding to client support requests via phone or in person.
- Manning the tech bars to handle user walk ups, log tickets and provide exceptional service for device issues.
- Contacting clients to find out the nature of the problem.
- Troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
- Installing and maintaining hardware and computer peripherals.
- Installing and upgrading operating systems and computer software.
- Troubleshooting networking and connection issues.
- Advising on software or hardware upgrades.
- Providing basic training in computer operation and management.
- Completing job reports and ordering supplies, including procuring replacement hardware through third party vendors as needed and following the required process and procedures
- You will also service Executives and ensure a smooth and high-quality service
- Shift work, on call or weekend work may be required as needed
Qualifications
- A-level or equivalent qualification ideally in an IT related discipline
- University Degree (desirable)
- ITIL Foundation (minimum level required)
- Certification's
- MS-900 Microsoft 365 Fundamentals
- AZ-900 Microsoft Azure Fundamentals
- MD-100 or MD-101 Microsoft 365
