We are seeking a skilled Full Stack JavaScript Engineer to join our dynamic team on a contract basis. As a Full Stack Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining both Front End and Back End components of our web applications. Your primary focus will be on delivering high-quality code that meets our clients' requirements while adhering to industry best practices and standards.

Technical Skills
Knowledge of Front End technologies such as HTML5 and SCSS
Knowledge of Back End technologies such as NodeJS, Express or Koa
Strong Client-side & Server Side JavaScript skills
Typescript
Experience with FaaS platforms (eg Cloud Functions, Lambda)
Working with third-party REST and GraphQL APIs
Experience of the full software life cycle
Advanced experience working with Git
Advanced experience working with Git

Knowledge and Experience
At least 2 years of development experience working in a development team within a commercial environment
Experience dealing directly with non-technical stakeholders
Highly motivated with demonstrable technical and analytical skills
Desire to further technical skills and knowledge
Attention to detail, commitment and desire to complete a consistently high standard of work
Advanced time management skills with the ability to manage own tasks to agreed timelines with limited supervision
Able to clearly communicate complex design and development decisions
Knowledge of best practice and architecture for complex web applications
Able to articulate complex technical solutions with minimal assistance
Able to design and build complex technical solutions with minimal assistance
Strong communication skills

Desirable
Technical Skills
Experience on the BigCommerce platform, or other SaaS E-commerce platforms
Experience with one or more cloud platform (eg AWS, Google Cloud, Azure)
Terraform or another infrastructure-as-code tool
Experience integrating with relational databases (eg Postgres, MySQL)

Knowledge and Experience
At least 1 years software development experience on a SaaS E-commerce platform
Managing tasks and timelines of a development team, within a commercial environment
