On behalf of Tesco Bank, AMS are now looking for a Senior Risk Manager to work in their team based in Edinburgh for an initial contract length of 12 Months.

Purpose of the Role:

We are seeking a highly experienced Risk Specialist to join our team. This role involves overseeing significant change initiatives within a tech-focused business environment, utilising both agile and waterfall methodologies. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of experience from the banking sector, particularly from a risk perspective, and will play a pivotal role in our organisation's ongoing integration and separation activities.

Responsibilities:

• Risk Oversight: Provide expert risk oversight for significant change initiatives, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
• Integration and Separation Activities: Lead and manage risk aspects related to integration and separation activities, including overseeing the build, run, and execution of Transitional Service Agreements (TSAs).
• Enterprise-Level Change Management: Apply both agile and waterfall methodologies to manage enterprise-level changes effectively.
• Collaboration: Work closely with technology, business, service operations, and architecture teams to ensure risk considerations are Embedded in all projects.
• Payments and Supplier Management Oversight: Oversee risk management processes related to payments and supplier management, ensuring robust controls and risk mitigation strategies are in place.

What We Require from the Candidate:

• Extensive experience in risk management within the banking sector, particularly with large banks.
• Proven track record in managing risk aspects of integration and separation activities.
• Strong background in overseeing the build, run, and execution of TSAs.
• Exceptional risk management skills with a deep understanding of regulatory requirements and best practices.
• Strong technical acumen, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technology teams.
• Experience in a second line risk function is desirable but not essential.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Professional certifications in risk management (eg, Certified Risk Manager (CRM), Financial Risk Manager (FRM) are highly desirable.
• Familiarity with data analytics and Business Intelligence tools.
