Senior Network Engineer (SC Cleared) - £600/day Inside IR35 - 5 months Contract - Manchester (Onsite) - SCC FLEX CONTRACT

We are seeking a skilled Senior Network Engineer (SC Cleared) to join our client's team on a contract basis. The Senior Network Engineer will take charge of managing third-party provision of network services and providing expertise in developing solutions throughout the service life cycle.

Your Responsibilities as the Senior Network Engineer:

• Lead a team of Operational Network & Senior Network Engineers in implementing, administering, and supporting network solutions.
• Review network designs for efficiency, resource utilization, and integration of multiple structures and technologies.
• Performance management of the team, ensuring optimal performance and productivity.
• Manage planning of networks and/or acceptance tests, providing authoritative advice and guidance on test planning.
• Ensure technical documentation is updated and maintained.
• Investigate faults in network services and advise on appropriate solutions and preventative measures.
• Establish standards and procedures across the service life cycle and manage resources effectively.
• Evaluate project success, identify best practices, and provide feedback to teams for future improvement.

As the Senior Network Engineer, you will have:

• Active SC Clearance (Used within the last 12 months)
• Ability to anticipate future technology changes and identify network improvements.
• Strong lateral thinking capability to diagnose root causes of problems.
• Appreciation of information security and its importance in building appropriate solutions.
• Experience in a large, multi-tiered support function and formal training in computer science or certified experience in computing.
• Significant experience in core technical concepts, switching, routing, Firewalling, wireless networking, security, and load balancing.
• Exposure to software-defined networking and ability to lead teams in adhering to good engineering principles.
