Overview: We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect with specialized knowledge in the rail industry to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in enterprise architecture principles, methodologies, and frameworks, particularly in TOGAF and other similar approaches. The role involves collaborating with stakeholders across various departments to develop and maintain enterprise architecture strategies that align with business goals and industry standards within the rail sector.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and maintain enterprise architecture models, frameworks, and roadmaps that support the organization's strategic objectives and business processes within the rail industry.
  2. Collaborate with business stakeholders, IT teams, and other relevant departments to gather requirements, analyze needs, and define architecture solutions that address current and future challenges.
  3. Evaluate existing systems, applications, and technologies to identify areas for improvement, standardization, and optimization within the rail domain.
  4. Provide guidance and expertise on architectural design principles, standards, and best practices to ensure alignment with industry regulations, security protocols, and performance requirements.
  5. Lead the design and implementation of scalable and flexible architecture solutions that facilitate interoperability, data exchange, and seamless integration across rail systems and subsystems.
  6. Conduct architecture reviews, assessments, and audits to ensure compliance with established standards, guidelines, and policies, recommending corrective actions as needed.
  7. Stay abreast of emerging trends, innovations, and technologies in the rail industry and incorporate relevant advancements into the enterprise architecture strategy.
  8. Collaborate with project teams to define technical requirements, design specifications, and architectural blueprints for rail-related initiatives, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture standards and objectives.
  9. Provide leadership, mentoring, and coaching to junior architects and technical teams, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
  10. Serve as a subject matter expert and trusted advisor on enterprise architecture matters, offering insights, recommendations, and strategic guidance to executive stakeholders and senior management.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  2. Proven experience as an Enterprise Architect with a focus on the rail industry, including a deep understanding of rail-specific systems, technologies, and business processes.
  3. Certification in TOGAF or other relevant enterprise architecture frameworks is highly desirable.
  4. Strong knowledge of architectural principles, methodologies, and best practices, with demonstrated experience in designing and implementing complex enterprise solutions.
  5. Proficiency in modelling tools, enterprise architecture repositories, and other related software applications.
  6. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  7. Analytical mindset with a strategic orientation, capable of translating business requirements into actionable architectural solutions.
  8. Proven leadership skills with experience in leading cross-functional teams and driving architectural initiatives from conception to implementation.
  9. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and delivering results under tight deadlines.
