In response to low plant utilisation rates, our client is embarking on a strategic initiative to consolidate its manufacturing sites. This pivotal project involves the closure of several underutilised facilities and the seamless transfer of manufacturing operations to other sites to optimise the efficiency of their plant network. As the Manufacturing Project Manager, you will lead the charge in executing this transformative initiative over a twelve-month period.
Skills Required:
- As a Manufacturing Project Manager, you will play a critical role in orchestrating various facets of the closure and transfer project.
Key qualifications include:
- Proven track record as a project manager in the manufacturing industry, adept at steering projects from inception to fruition.
- Thorough understanding of manufacturing processes and operations, with expertise in work redistribution and supply chain dynamics.
- Proficiency in crafting and executing comprehensive project plans, adept resource allocation, and adept risk mitigation.
- Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills to collaborate with internal teams, external vendors, and regulatory bodies throughout the project life cycle.
- Mastery of project management tools and software for scheduling, budgeting, and reporting.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making acumen to tackle unforeseen challenges and ensure project goals are achieved within designated timelines and budgetary constraints.
- Experience in EU/UK employment legislation, particularly in managing redundancies and liaising with various unions.
You must be able to demonstrate the creation of a project plan, RAID, governance, and how you hold others to account for their workstreams etc.
