Comms Supervisor/Cabling Team Lead (CSCS/ECS/Fibre/Copper) (Contract)

Location: London Country: UK
 

Comms Supervisor/Cabling Team Lead (CSCS/ECS/Fibre/Copper) is urgently required by our Global IT Services Company for an initial 3 months rolling contract, to be based in Heathrow, UK. Candidates must live within a commutable distance from London as the role will be 5 days/nights on client site, with no home working. CSCS or ECS required.

Responsibilities & Skills:

  • The successful applicant will be an experienced Comms Supervisor/Cabling Team Lead with a very strong Comms/Cabling/Fibre/Copper hands on background, looking to make the next step in their career.
  • Can demonstrate knowledge of successfully managing a team and safe working practices.
  • CSCS or ECS required
  • Must have Fibre & Copper Cabling experience
  • The successful applicant will be responsible for assisting in the management and delivery of implementation projects across the campus in the installation of physical infrastructure and active network equipment, internally and externally. The project will involve large-scale construction work and adherence to relevant Health and Safety requirements is paramount.
  • Knowledge and experience of delivering on-site projects within challenging operational environments. Strong teamwork skills and experience required.
  • Strong working knowledge of (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Management of on-site implementation works.
  • Assist with writing Risk Assessments/Method statements
  • Assist in raising permits and liaising with stakeholders for relevant permits and approvals.
  • Undertake operational inspection to ensure safe working practises are being maintained.
  • Ensure the implementation of daily/nightly pre-start briefing for all operatives, including contractors at the start of each shift.
  • Undertake survey works and collate information into survey findings documentation.
  • Complete detailed and comprehensive shift reports Pre works (permits, pre works risk assessment), during works, and post works - this will require use of online tool
