Job Title: Senior Software Development Engineer (Server Side)

As a Senior Software Development Engineer (Server Side), you will play a critical role in the implementation and delivery of new Server Side components, microservices, web APIs, and enhancements to a flagship FX product. This role requires superior skills in modern Agile, Cloud-based, Server Side development, alongside a deep understanding of Transaction Cost Analysis and regulatory benchmarks such as MiFID and MiFIR.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement and deliver new Server Side components, microservices, web APIs, and enhancements to the FX product.
• Demonstrate expertise in modern Agile methodologies, Cloud-based technologies, and Server Side development, influencing technology decisions to ensure optimal performance and scalability.
• Develop understanding in Transaction Cost Analysis and regulatory benchmarks required for compliance with MiFID and MiFIR regulations.
• Take ownership of tasks, from conception through completion, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
• Establish best practices, clean code, and design patterns to maintain and enhance the application's efficiency and reliability.
• Drive organizational change and innovation by passionately advocating for Test Driven Development and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) methodologies.

Core/Must-Have Skills:

• 10+ years of programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C#, including object-oriented design, distributed systems, algorithms, and relational databases (eg, Postgres, Oracle).
• Extensive experience in building low-level APIs for high-volume, latency-sensitive applications, with proficiency in multi-threading, data structures, grid computing, and message-oriented Middleware.
• Experience contributing to the architecture and design of new and current systems, with a focus on design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
• Hands-on experience working with AWS and/or other modern cloud-based infrastructure.

Good-to-Have Skills:

• Knowledge/expertise in FX, Fixed Income, Equity, or Equity Derivatives products.
• Familiarity with KDB.
• Exposure and understanding of modern JavaScript build toolchains, utilizing tools such as node, npm, rush, yarn, webpack, babel, and Cyprus.
