3 Shift Pattern - Lates (3pm-11pm), earlies (7am-3pm) and nights (11pm-7am), Pattern starts on Sunday night, finishes late Friday night with a 3-week rotation.
iO Associates is looking for a Quality Control Technicians to work with a company that has a strong position in the markets for artificial lift, specialised chemicals, and completions, and which is a world leader in oilfield services and equipment.
The Quality Control Technicians will be joining the Flexible Pipe Systems (FPS) team in Newcastle UK and will have working knowledge of ISOAPI Quality Systems, Quality practices and applications, and Continuous Improvement Tools. Receiving Inspection experience is a must, as well as a working knowledge of Microsoft products and the ability to interpret specifications and drawings. Experience of writing detailed reports, eg, Non-conformance reports would be an advantage.
Responsibilities:
- Report directly to the Quality Control Supervisor, responding to a wide variety of Quality control related issues.
- Liaison with functional groups for all Quality Control related activities/problems.
- Interface with Customer/Third Party/certifying authority representatives, as required.
- Provide technical support/guidance to work centres for training process inspectors.
- Perform Receiving Inspection Completion of pipe maps.
- Administration/sign off/verification of inspections.
Qualifications
- ONC/HNC from an accredited college, university, or trade school, or 5 years' experience in Quality Control within a manufacturing environment in either or all of the following industries: Extrusion, wire and cable, oil and gas or equivalent combination of education and experience.
