Director of Technology (IT) (Permanent)

Location: West London Country: UK Rate: £95k - £125k per annum + Bonus & Benefits

Director of Technology (IT) - Global Scaling Entertainment Group - London

We are a rapidly scaling entertainment group of companies comprising of around 2000 people spread across an increasing number of portfolio brands.

Due to their continued rapid expansion plans we are now looking to bring on-board a director of IT.

IT is currently decentralised, with each of its operating businesses operating individually, responsible for their own IT in line with their own specific needs. The decentralised structure works for certain activities but from an IT perspective it introduces risks to the wider Group and results in significant duplication from an effort and cost perspective. The Director of Technology will devise a centralised IT Strategy. This will be a hands on leadership position focused on building a high performing team as well as devising a cloud based architectural strategy to allow the group to build a "plug & play" platform as it continues to scale at pace globally.

This is a truly unique opportunity with unrivalled growth prospects as well as the chance to influence the Technology strategy for a rapidly scaling entertainment group!

Role

The Director of IT will assume responsibility for IT Strategy, Governance and Architecture. The person will support the delivery of a roadmap including critical aspects such as Enterprise IT, Cybersecurity, IT Services and Data

  • Maintains an overall architecture roadmap - in alignment with the operating businesses - ensuring these align to the needs of each business and highlighting opportunity for synergy
  • Maintains relationships with key vendor and operating business technology counterparts with regard to technology roadmaps, highlighting where further value can be exploited
  • Identifies innovation opportunities and supports activities on emerging technology to provide proof of concept work that can inform the roadmaps of products within operating businesses or shared technology platforms
  • Manages the group architecture community of practice and looks for ways to uplift the technical & application architecture capability across the different operating businesses
  • Provides support to projects and other activities, giving advice on how business ideas can be best supported by current and future solutions and innovative ideas
