Location: Bolton Country: UK Rate: £36k - £43k per annum + Paid Overtime & Company Bonus
Position Available: Continuous Improvement Manufacturing Engineer
Location: Bolton, Henlow or Stevenage
Salary: Up to £43,000 + Paid Overtime & Company Bonus & Very Good Pension Package, Subsidised Canteen onsite
Experience needed: Experience in supporting the assembly process and leading waste/defect reduction, as well as driving activity to help reduce costs and increase profitability & efficiency. Experience in liaising with other operational areas of the business and being aware of all improvement activities across the business.

We are a leading defence company who are at the forefront of innovation in the industry and your work will have a direct impact on the safety and security of the UK & our allies. We are currently looking for a Continuous Improvement Manufacturing Engineer to work in our Continuous Improvement team.
In this role you will support the team in:
- Setting up, supporting and governing CI reviews to ensure their robustness and sustainability.
- Initiating and running CI plans to enable corrections and preventing any potential future issues.
- Supporting root cause analysis for externally supplied detail products.
- Reduce defective issues using an 8D/A3 methodology.
- Certifying products in line with product certification procedures.
- Implementing process controls and process capability based on customer critical features.
What we need from you:
- Formal technical engineering/craft apprenticeship to NVQ Level 3/TR23/TR21 is essential for this role.
- Formal further education certificate to HNC or equivalent certificate, OR a BEng in relevant engineering or science subject - essential.
- The ability to produce, maintain and interpret data using a structured approach.
- Experience in the use & understanding of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies and tools, alongside CI and Quality tools.
